2005-01-13 [DancingElf]: but the same could be said about anything you focus on...
2005-01-13 [DanClark]: exactly. Spells are not just for outer change, any manipulation of energy could constitute a spell.
2005-01-14 [DancingElf]: Above you mention healing, do you mean yourself or others
2005-01-14 [DanClark]: both. It's easier to heal yourself, but if other allow you to modify their auras, you can heal others as well
2005-01-26 [DancingElf]: but if a person is ill wont that make it much harder, and sometimes even impossible to see the aura, how can you heal something if you cant see it
2005-01-27 [DanClark]: Yes and no. Normally, the reduction in energy is centered at the point of weakness. Effectively, the aura is the weakest where the energy is required the most for self repair.
2005-02-16 [DancingElf]: so where the aura is hardest or impossibe to see is the area that you need to focus on...
2005-02-16 [DanClark]: Yes, but not always. If you look at when you hurt yourself (bruise or otherwise) that part of your body tends to be warmer than the rest. Blood is rushing to that point and increasing the energy at that point to heal yourself.
2005-03-13 [DanClark]: lets look at a more efficient way of healing oneself: imagine water flowing from your toes to/and out past your head. the water is warm and clear.... washing away the impurities of your soul and body. The flowing energy cleansing everything in it's path. that is how energy works....it flows, once you are able to direct it's flow, then you can reap it's benefits. let's look at water: before you were shown how to cup your hands to drink deeply of it, you could only sip at it's greatness. and even after being shown how to drink in more, only practice will alllow you to appriciate it as much.
2005-03-28 [nokaredes]: Ha! I knew everything had an aura...people keep telling me that just living things have auras.
2005-03-29 [DanClark]: An aura is basically just the electrical imprint of something's make-up.
2005-04-02 [Estantia]: but Aura's have different areas, like the mind, and most of the layers can change...
2005-04-03 [DanClark]: Well, auras have to do with the electrical fields surrounding your body. Your brain controls these electrical fields, as it does all of the functions of your body. As your emotions change, so does the percetion of your aura by people who can see it.
2005-04-03 [nokaredes]: and don't forget that people who can see auras are looking at them from the other side of their own aura, which might distort their perceptions...
2005-04-04 [DanClark]: Yes, but then that brings into mind a question: If you wear pink colored glasses all the time, and paint a picture would the picture look any different to me? If the scene that was painted tried to match the painting exactly, then the colors used to paint it would look pink to the painter as well.... so there would be no difference. All that to say that your own aura shouldn't affect what you see, but your emotions could affect how you see.
2005-04-04 [Estantia]: would that work by saying if you were bullied by someone their being angry would be seen as aggressive to them, but by the bully's friends they would see what caused it?
2005-04-04 [DanClark]: Yes and no. More to the point that the emotion of anger would corrupt what is seen by the angry person.
2005-04-05 [DanClark]: precisely, but at the same time, someone who is angry all the time would become accustomed to the distortions of his/her emotion so as to not factor it in to the percieved aura.
2005-04-05 [nokaredes]: Yes, but no one is angry all the time. Besides, there are other things in the aura, like a layer that shows your character traits. So, some parts change and some don't. What you have to do is realise that some people might see one color and you might see another while looking at the same person at the same time, and that you need to make your own this-color-mea
2005-04-05 [DanClark]: Exactly, and the fact that the choices are related to how and who you are.
